ROSS HOLLANDER JOINS RANKS OF CHAMBERS USA 2009 AS ONE OF AMERICA'S TOP LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT LAWYERS
June 25, 2009
(WICHITA, Kan.) - Wichita attorney Ross Hollander has been selected as one of the country's
most outstanding labor and employment lawyers by Chambers USA 2009. Inclusion in Chambers
USA is based on the publication's independent interviews with both lawyers and clients -- with
greater emphasis given to client evaluations. Lawyers are then ranked based on criteria most valued
by clients: technical legal ability, client service, business acumen, diligence, and professional
conduct. Rankings also reflect pre-eminence in the attorney's key practice area and achievement in
the past year.
Hollander enters the list this year "due to his excellent track record and commendable feedback
from clients," according to Chambers USA, which has published global guides to the legal
profession since 1990. Hollander focuses primarily on employment law, acting for either plaintiff
or defense in discrimination and unlawful discharge cases.
"It's gratifying to be held in such high esteem within the legal profession, and particularly so when
that honor stems, in part, from clients' opinions of you as their advocate," Hollander said.
Hollander is a past president of the Wichita Bar Association, and past president of the Kansas Bar
Association's Employment Law Section. Additionally, he is a member of the American Bar
Association, Kansas Association of Defense Counsel, and Defense Research Institute.
Hollander, a partner and shareholder in the Wichita, Kan., firm of Joseph & Hollander, PA, has
practiced in Wichita for more than 30 years. A graduate of Wichita State University, Hollander
received his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law.
The Wichita and Topeka offices of Joseph & Hollander, PA, include 10 lawyers. The firm's
primary practice areas include complex criminal defense, civil litigation, employment law, health
care non-compliance, commercial law and family law.
